Read & download Beneath the Darkening Sky Beneath the Darkening Sky Review × 108 Kening Sky is a terrifyingly powerful brilliantly insightful portrait of how a human being copes when forced to become inhuman Like all great fiction it imagines the unimaginable and announces the arrival of a searing new voice from the heart of Afri. I am very relieved to be finished this book It was not an easy read I didn t want to read it in the evening in case it gave me nightmares and then I often didn t choose to pick it up during the daytime either since I normally had another book on the go at the same time which was appealingIt read like a biography but is actually a work of fiction however there are many children for whom being captured by rebel soldiers is a terrifying reality Sometimes reading these difficult books while not entirely pleasant is an enlightening experience that makes me a better informed person and may change some aspect of my life what I buy organisations I support etc I think this book did enlighten me but if I d known what it would be like and how the story would progress I m not sure that I would have read it I am not unfamiliar with stories of cruelty and oppression in developing nations and have read and enjoyed the enlightenment I derived from my reading sometimes it s a bit hard to say you ve enjoyed the actual story when difficult issues are tackled but in this case did I enjoy the experience of discovering about the capture of young children recruits from a village by the rebel soldiers their treatment and life in the rebel camps No I feel like I need to start another book right now to take the bitter taste away

Read & download Beneath the Darkening Sky Beneath the Darkening Sky Review × 108 On the day that Obinna’s village is savagely attacked by the rebel army and his father murdered he witnesses violence beyond his imagination Along with his older brother he finds himself thrown into a truck when the soldiers leave to be shaped into. Beneath the Darkening Sky tells the horrifying story of the life of Obinna One night the rebels come to Obinna s village to wreak havoc burning huts randomly beheading the men and lining up the children taking anyone higher than the size of an AK 47 Obinna and his brother Akot find themselves taken to join the revolution Akot seems to take to training but Obinna refuses to really join the rebels while he has been taken he never really accepts their ideals It was a soldier called Priest that ultimately helps ObinnaBeneath the Darkening Sky is a gripping story of a child taking a stand and not letting anything or anyone stifle his principles Obinna has to go through a lot of horrible events but through it all he stands strong He is uncompromising in a world that is twisted and corrupt for a young boy he really is brave and determined to an almost unbelievable state I don t know how I would be if I had to live like Obinna but it s clear to me that he was never going to change his mind and this almost lead to the books downfallI like a story of a man taking a stand against all odds but this was clear from the get go and this made the book a little predictable and nothing really ended up surprising me There are horrible things within this world and Obinna has to suffer than any boy should have to suffer I respect the protagonist but I find it hard to enjoy a novel so conventional There are elements of this book that are raw and overly violent but this is only to portray just how much Obinna has to overcome This is an interesting novel as long as you never let the predictability get in the way of an amazing story of an uncompromising young man stuck in a world that would break most people

Read & download Beneath the Darkening Sky Beneath the Darkening Sky Review × 108 An agent of horror – a child soldier Marched through minefields and forced into battle enduring a brutal daily existence Obinna slowly works out which parts of himself to save and which to sacrifice in this world turned upside down Beneath the Dar. Words are just useless in this moment for this book It feels even to basic to call it a book when it is in fact a living proof to the atrocities the human race has made A tragedy a story about war death and People who experienced hell Villages burned to the ground hundreds or even thousands of people brutally killed and tortured women and girls raped boys beaten terorised and turned into soldiers into killing machines by demons with human faces And we still have the nerve to call ourselves an inteligent species Some may think these kind of books are too violent to brutal but I believe that we should know the things that happened in our world even it they were a long time ago or far away from you All the inocent people who died in vain deserve at least to be known as well as this masterpiece which deserves to be read
